SmartFlash ONE
SmartFlash ONE is ideal for flashing new or existing penetrations and construction details. It can be used for low-slope modified bitumen and built-up roofing (BUR) roofing systems. It’s also an efficient, long-term repair solution for flashings or cracks within a steep-slope asphalt roof. SmartFlash ONE membranes create full closure to irregular flashings and penetrations. With this product, you won’t need pitch pockets on low-slope penetration details. Once it cures, it virtually becomes part of the substrate.
“SmartFlash ONE delivers one-part labor efficiency with two-part performance,” said Abby Feinstein, CertainTeed’s commercial roofing product manager. “With no primer or component mixing, contractors can work quickly without fear of the product setting up too fast or going to waste. ”

Liquid-Applied Flashing
Contractors use flashing to weatherproof a roof. It protects the leak-prone areas of the roof. Roofers usually cut and shape pieces of flashing from sheet metal and secure them with fasteners and adhesive. There are also pre-formed flashings made of rubber, plastic or metal that are molded to fit common roof penetrations.
Liquid-applied flashing consists of liquid resin and flexible fabric membrane or fleece. Your roofer can cut this membrane to fit any traditional use. It adheres to almost all surfaces, including concrete, metal and wood. It also doesn’t require fasteners or sealants. Further, it offers superior resistance to tearing, puncture, high winds, structural movement and foot traffic.
